Lindenwood University is a private liberal arts university in St. Charles, Missouri. Founded in 1827 by George Champlin Sibley and Mary Easton Sibley as The Lindenwood School for Girls. It is the second-oldest higher-education institution west of the Mississippi River.
Lindenwood offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees through nine colleges and schools. its enrollment was 7,374 students in 2020.
Lindenwood's athletic teams primarily compete at the NCAA Division II level with several sports competing at the NCAA Division1 level.
